****************************************** Instructions For Using Downloaded Sigmacs ****************************************** Using the 'csw' Command 1. Start an ARRIS session 2. Type: csw and follow the prompts below: 1) Wall type to change? [enter the name or number of the wall type you wish to change] 2) New wall type? [enter the name or number of the wall type you wish to replace it with] 3) 1st fence point (F10 options): [fence in the area that contains the walls you wish to change] ************************************************* Using the 'dlys' command 1. Start an ARRIS session 2. Load a database and set your zoom window to any area of interest (or simply do a 'zoom all') 3. Type: dlys and follow the prompts below: 1) for next layer: The 'display layers' command will start by displaying the first layer. Depending on the current zoom window and contents of the first layer of your drawing, you should see one of the following: * Nothing * The entire contents of the lowest numbered layer * A partial display of the lowest numbered layer Selecting the 'Enter' (carriage return) key will cycle to the display of your next layer, and so on. The layers number, name and description will be displayed on the prompt line as you scroll through. Note: * If the screen display is blank, this means that the layer being displayed is empty or that there are no entities in the current zoom window. * All layers will be displayed even if they are currently turned off for 'display'. * Exiting the command wit a Ctrl^C before it has cycled through all the layers will leave all layers turned on for display. ************************************************* Using The 'rish' Command 1. Open up MS Explorer and drag a copy of the 'riar.exe' executable (under C:\Program Files\ARRIS 2001\bin) over to the directory that stores the RI library(s) you wish to display in ARRIS. This step only needs to be done one time unless the RI directory changes. 2. Open up the 'MS-DOS Prompt' window (Start-->Programs--> MS-DOS Prompt) and chang directories ('cd') to the directory that stores your RI libraries and the 'riar.exe' executable. 3. Note the RI library you wish to start with and type the following: riar t favorite_name.ri > rish.txt 4. Open an ARRIS session and load the RI library name chosen in Step 3. 5. Type: rish and follow the prompts below: 1) RI Library Name To Display: [enter the library name chosen in Step 3] 2) Start Point: [enter lower-left starting position of display grid] 3) Spacing Between RI's: [enter spacing distance in feet] 4) Number Per Horizontal Row: [enter the number of RI's per row] Repeat Steps 3 thru 5 for each new RI library to be displayed.
